They share not only a love of dance, but also a passion for music. In a friendly battle of words, Mark and Val tried to heat up the duel. Mark Ballas began with, “Val beat me a handful of times out of 500, so you do the math.” Val retorted with, “I don’t plan to be second to Mark Ballas.” This was followed by a reply from Ballas who stated, “I’ve schooled you on the dance floor, now it’s time for a music lesson, son.” The talented performers started off dueling each other musically, with Mark Ballas on the classical guitar and Val Chmerkovskiy on the violin. The talented friends gave the audience a daring string duel of Britney Spears’s hit song “Toxic.” They then moved onto the dance floor to dance with their pro partners. The end result was an amazing performance that spectacularly showcased the musical
